Netherlands: Successful Year 2015 for Heineken Experience
The Heineken Experience, located in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam, can look back on a successful year 2015. In addition to an increase in visitor numbers of 22 percent compared to the year before, the tourist attraction could register a new record in terms of attendance figures. 887,000 people visited the Heineken Experience, which opened its doors in 2001 in the former brewery of HEINEKEN. On December 30, 2015 the visitor attraction could additionally celebrate its 900,000th ticket sold. The majority of visitors are from the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy and France. “We are very proud that we can welcome so many visitors from all over the world and we hope that in 2016 we can provide more magical moments for all the visitors of the Heineken Experience,” says Dirk Lubbers, Managing Director of the tourist attraction.
Last year, the Heineken Experience innovated and developed significant parts of its tour. A new Heineken rugby area was opened and the karaoke area renovated. Furthermore, a new e-ticketing platform was launched and a further offer created: The VIP tour and beer tasting, which has proved to be a success so far. (eap)
