Poland: New Tubby Slides Park Turns Polish Ski Area into Year-Round Destination
The Kurza Góra ski area in the north of Poland recently saw the opening of a new “Tubby” tubing park, offering guests year-round sliding fun. The installation from Italy’s Neveplast company features a total track length of 700 meters, making it the largest tubing park the provider has installed up until today.
It is divided into several slopes: Three straight Tubby slopes of 124 meters length each, on which guests experience strong acceleration moments; a 134 meter long Tubby slope featuring thrilling parabolic turns and a “Tubby Jump” lane, at the end of which an air cushion from Dutch BigAirBag company allows to slide out directly without having to get up and walk.
In addition, the tubing park features a Tubby double track with separate trajectories that intersect at one point, one track leading through a tunnel, while sliders on the other track cross the raised part, resulting in an extraordinary scenic effect, realized by Neveplast for the first time. The conveyor system for the tubes was supplied by Austria’s Sunkid company. (eap)
