Puy du Fou's "SAGA City of Light" Debuts in Shanghai
(eap) Puy du Fou’s first “creation” in China debuts today in Shanghai. The long-awaited show experience “SAGA City of Light” (we reported in detail, see EAP-News 25.5.2021) was originally planned to premiere in 2022, but there were delays due to the pandemic, among other things, so visitors can finally enjoy the new experience in the metropolis from today.
The Canadian company Triotech, whose European division in France was commissioned with the project, has supplied a total of seven motion platforms for the immersive experience, which simulate various modes of transportation (see EAP news from 13.9.2022). The two-hour experience, which is designed as a walkthrough and is intended to transport visitors to Shanghai in the 1930s, offers various storylines across 46,000 square meters in 50 scenes and with over 150 performers, in which visitors can interactively influence the experience.
Joseph Corbo Courtemanche, COO & Executive Producer of Puy du Fou Asia says: “Triotech’s teams demonstrated great professionalism throughout the project. Their expertise in dynamic platforms is a valuable asset to the SAGA project. There is no doubt that visitors will appreciate the experience".
Gabi Salabi, Managing Director Projects at Triotech adds: “We’re very proud to have contributed to this groundbreaking SAGA City of Light project. Working with Puy du Fou and its rich history has been a remarkable journey, we look forward to continuing this special partnership”. ■
