Puy du Fou Spain Establishes Academy of Arts

This year, Puy du Fou Spain is presenting a prequel to its award-winning show "A Pluma y Espada".

(eap) Puy du Fou España, the show theme park that opened in Toledo in 2021, has founded its own training academy for the performing arts. In cooperation with the Madrid-based theatre production company JANA Producciones, at the new Puy du Fou Academy selected talents will be trained in various disciplines, including interpretation, combat techniques, dance and acrobatics, for the first time in July and August this year. “We are delighted to be working with Jana Producciones to offer high-quality training that will enable students to develop their passion for the performing arts,” comments José Ramón Molinero, Deputy Managing Director of Puy du Fou Spain.

In addition to the professional and individual training, the academy students will benefit in particular from the practical orientation of the program. The show theme park, which was founded as the first international location of the French “mother park” Puy du Fou, delights visitors every day with its numerous stage productions based on the history of Spain, which not only feature actors, professional riders and artists, but also utilise state-of-the-art stage technology and special effects. With its training academy, the park is now pursuing the goal of training up-and-coming talent for its own crew. In addition, Puy du Fou Spain is now a recognised centre for equestrian sports with a focus on show jumping and artistic riding. ■
