Ravensburger Spieleland Announces World Novelty for 2025
(eap) Germany’s Ravensburger Spieleland on Lake Constance will surprise its guests with a “world’s first” attraction novelty in summer 2025: As the family park has just announced, an interactive ride based on the popular detective board game “Scotland Yard” will open next year – visitors can look forward to a high-speed indoor and outdoor chase and interactive gaming features.
“This new attraction promises pure excitement and thrills. In state-of-the-art vehicles, guests will become detectives themselves, chasing through the streets of London, following clues and making their own decisions that make each ride unique,” explains Ravensburger Spieleland. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will also be used in the new ride. German manufacturer aufwind Rides has been commissioned with the project and is developing an AI-supported game logic especially for the Scotland Yard attraction (find out more about AI in attractions and experiences in our related special feature, published in our latest EAP Sept/Oct magazine issue).
The Scotland Yard ride is being built in the “Discovery Land” themed area on the site of the “Billy Biber’s Alpine Rafting” white water ride, which can still be used by park visitors until September 22. The new attraction will then be built there – its opening is scheduled for summer 2025. “With over eight million games sold in more than 50 countries, Scotland Yard is one of Ravensburger’s bestsellers, so it quickly became clear that the realization of this game had to be something very special,” emphasizes Siglinde Nowack, Managing Director of Ravensburger Spieleland, in anticipation of the new experience.
Ravensburger Spieleland has been offering leisure and play fun for the whole family since 1998, with the main target group being children aged two to twelve. Most recently, the park welcomed around 460,000 visitors a year, who can enjoy themselves in eight different themed worlds with a total of more than 70 attractions. Since 2016, multi-day guests have also had the opportunity to make use of the park’s own overnight accommodation offer in the form of a vacation village and caravan pitches. ■
