Six Flags Over Georgia Celebrates the Opening of “Georgia Gold Rusher”

(eap) The US theme park Six Flags Over Georgia kicked off this year’s season last weekend with the opening of a new highlight attraction. The park’s 12th coaster, the “Georgia Gold Rusher”, celebrated its inauguration. This is also the world’s first “Ultra Surf Coaster” from Intamin, which was originally due to open in the park under the name “Georgia Surfer”. It has now been themed around the gold rush in Georgia in the 19th century. The design of the attraction is intended to be just one example of future storytelling and theming at Six Flags Over Georgia. Thematic enhancements are to be made throughout the park over the course of the season. In addition, investments will be made in park dining with three new dining concepts, new menu options, improved service procedures and a new Executive Chef.

“As the park’s 12th coaster and the world’s first free-spinning gondola coaster, this attraction represents our team’s commitment to delivering unmatched thrills, immersive entertainment and lifelong memories,” says Greg Fuller, General Manager at Six Flags Over Georgia. “With a new roller coaster and a multitude of enhancements throughout the park, this season will build on our park legacy, bringing new energy and excitement for our loyal fans and future park guests.”
