The Countdown Is On! Universal Epic Universe Opens in May 2025

(eap) Universal Orlando Resort today announced the official opening date for its new and fourth theme park in the Sunshine State. Just before Memorial Day Weekend, on May 22, 2025, Universal Epic Universe will open its doors for the first time and welcome visitors to a total of five unique themed worlds: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe. The complex also has its own hotel: the Universal Helios Grand Hotel (a Loews Hotel), which will offer a total of 500 rooms for overnight guests.
“This is such a pivotal moment for our destination, and we’re thrilled to welcome guests to Epic Universe next year. With the addition of this spectacular new theme park, our guests will embark on an unforgettable vacation experience with a week’s worth of thrills that will be nothing short of epic! Our Universe will never be the same,” says Universal Orlando Resort President Karen Irwin with enthusiasm.
In addition to the new Epic Universe theme park, Universal's Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida and the Volcano Bay water park are also part of the Universal Orlando Resort, as are a total of eleven hotels. Tickets for the new theme park will soon be available to book. ■
