These Are the 2024 Brass Ring Award Winners
(eap) The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced the winners of this year’s Brass Ring Awards at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando last week. The awards recognize some of the best new developments and products in the industry (Best Product) and some of the best trade fair booths at the Expo (Best Exhibit). Once again this year, numerous European manufacturers were honored with the award. Among others, the following companies received a Brass Ring:
The Canadian company Triotech was awarded first place in the “Major Ride/Attraction over USD 3 million” category for its interactive dark coaster “Primordial” at Lagoon Amusement Park (joint project with ART Engineering, see EAP News from 20th Sep 2023). Intamin was honored with second place in this category for its Flume Ride with Booster. In the category of attractions up to USD 2 million, Huss Park Attractions received an award for the Break Dance 5 (see EAP 6/2024).
The Belgian company Alterface received an award in the Family Rides/Attractions category for the Moviemax mobile movie theater (see EAP News 3rd Sep 2024). The “Stingray” waterslide from Polin Waterparks, installed at O’Gliss Park for the very first time (see EAP 5/2024), won first prize in the Water Park Ride/Attraction category. Second place was awarded to the Walhalla raft ride from WhiteWater West. The Canadian manufacturer also received an award for the Mini Blaster in this category for rides up to USD 2 million.
VR Coaster won an award for Eurosat Coastiality in the category of Virtual and Augmented Reality – since spring this year, the coaster at Europa-Park has been offering a new VR experience with “The Phantom of the Opera” (see EAP news from 14th March 2024).
In the “Best New Product Concept Award” category, ETF Ride Systems received an award in the Major Rides category for the Dynamic Mover presented at the IEE in Amsterdam (see EAP 6/2024), while Sunkid was honored with the Attraction category award for the Rocking Tower.
In the Best Exhibit Awards category, the Italian SBF Visa Group is among this year’s winners (Booth over 1,600 square feet). The Image Award, which is presented to a particularly outstanding stand among all applicants for the Best Exhibit Awards, was given to Rocky Mountain Construction.
