UAE: IMG Worlds of Adventure Takes Stock after Its First Year of Operation
Dubai’s IMG Worlds of Adventure indoor mega park (cf. EAP, 1/17), which opened on August 31st, 2016, recently celebrated its first anniversary. According to the park, which comprises four theme areas featuring exciting attractions and a wide entertainment offer, several million guests visited IMG Worlds of Adventure in its first year of operation. Guests were both local visitors and international tourists, with tourist numbers surpassing residents.
Also, the park, which is owned by the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group and operated by IMG Worlds, recorded a continual growth during the whole season. To surprise visitors with new experiences, the park has already planned to add five new attractions over the next five years. A multiplex cinema of the Novo Cinema brand, featuring a total of twelve screens, is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2017. Furthermore, directly adjacent to the IMG Worlds of Adventure, another indoor theme park will be constructed, named IMG Worlds of Legends, which will feature eight IP brands (cf.
