USA: Great Wolf Lodge to Built Resort in Colorado
Last week, US-based operator of family resorts, Great Wolf Resorts, Inc.®, announced its expansion to Colorado with the construction of Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs, which is expected to open in late 2016. Like in every of the chain’s resorts, the facility’s centerpiece will be a large indoor water park, including diverse attractions. Additionally, the resort will feature dozens of entertainment options, for example an indoor play park, mini bowling, activities for children of all ages or “MagiQuest®”, an interactive game. Guests will be hosted in a total of 311 guest suites, each one providing space for at least six people. The resort will also offer several dining options and conference space. “We are so excited to bring the Great Wolf Lodge brand to Colorado. As the leader in indoor water park resorts, we provide unique, year-round family gateways each and every day. The addition of Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs will feature many of the amenities and activities our guests know and love, as well as several experiences new to our brand,” says Great Wolf Resorts’ CEO Kim Schaefer. Great Wolf Lodge Colorado Springs will be the company’s 14th facility. The last resort to open was the one located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts one year ago (cf. EAP, issue 2/2015). Families in Southern California need some more patience as the opening of the 13th facility (cf. EAP News from May 21, 2014) has been rescheduled for early 2016. (eap)
