USA: Mary T. Barra Elected to The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors
Mary T. Barra, CEO and Chairman of the US automobile company General Motors (GM) headquartered in Detroit/Michigan, has recently been elected to The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors, effective immediately. In her new role, Barra extends Disney’s total board membership to twelve. Bob Iger, Disney Chairman and CEO, is looking forward to the cooperation: “Beyond being an incredibly respected leader of a major US company, Mary is recognized as an agent of change with a relentless focus on quality, safety and, most important, consumers. Her ability to adapt to a changing technological and consumer-focused landscape makes her uniquely suited for the Disney Board,” said Iger.
