Compagnie des Alpes Reports Increase in Sales & Attendance for Leisure Destinations
The French operator group Compagnie des Alpes (CdA) reports very dynamic annual sales for its leisure destinations, with an increase of twelve per cent on a reported basis and sales totaling 380.7 million Euro in the financial year of 2018/19. In the fourth reporting quarter alone sales increased by 19.6 per cent, reaching 170.2 million Euro, including the impact of the acquisition of Austrian Familypark (cp. EAP news of 21 Mar 2019). Excluding this, sales grew by a substantial 12.1 percent. At the same time, the group reports an increase in attendance of 2.5 per cent on a like-for-like basis, which is attributed in particular to the very good performances of the French sites, notably at Parc Astérix (+7.1 per cent) and Walibi Rhône-Alpes (+9.1 per cent). In total, the CdA group registered 9.6 million visits at its related parks in the 2018/19 FY.
For the entire financial year, CdA posted consolidated sales of 854 million Euro, an increase of 6.6 per cent on a reported basis compared to the previous financial year.
